As the countdown to Kitchen and Bath Show 2026 begins, we’re spotlighting exhibitor Niche Surfaces. Founded by a passionate team with over 60 years of collective experience in the Australian stone industry, Niche Surfaces is built on a foundation of deep expertise and a commitment to innovation. Read on to discover their current design trends, and what you can expect to find at their stand.
Can you give us a brief introduction to your brand?
Niche Surfaces is an Australian manufacturer of advanced architectural surfaces, powered by patented Vitium Technology.
The brand was founded by a small team of passionate industry professionals with more than 60 years of collective experience in the Australian stone industry.
Niche Surfaces delivers high-performance mineral surfaces with full-body design and exceptional visual realism, combining natural aesthetics with engineered precision.
Developed for architects, designers, and fabricators, Niche Surfaces sets a new standard in Australian architectural surfacing through consistency, durability, and design integrity.

What differentiates your brand from other competitors in the market?
Niche Surfaces differentiates itself through a combination of proprietary technology, industry expertise, and a clear focus on architectural outcomes.
At the core of the brand is Vitium Technology — an advanced sublimation printing system that enables full-body design and photorealistic detail on mineral surfaces, unlocking a level of customisation and visual depth not achievable with conventional stone or engineered products.
Unlike many surface brands that prioritise either aesthetics or performance, Niche Surfaces is built to deliver both. Our products combine natural stone-inspired visuals with engineered consistency, ensuring reliability for fabrication and installation at scale.
The brand is also shaped by more than 60 years of collective experience in the Australian stone industry. This gives us a practical understanding of what fabricators, designers, and architects need — not just in appearance, but in usability and long-term performance.
Together, this positions Niche Surfaces as a new category within the market: architectural surfaces that are not only designed to look natural but engineered to perform and scale in real-world applications.
Are there any exciting trends that you are seeing in the world of design this year?
One of the most exciting shifts we’re seeing, particularly out of the recent EuroCucina and Milan Design Week, is a move toward more authentic, material-driven design.
There’s a strong return to natural stone aesthetics and warmer, earth-based tones, moving away from the colder whites and greys that have dominated the last decade. At the same time, designers are embracing large, seamless surfaces and full-height applications, creating a more architectural, monolithic look.
We’re also seeing a rise in mixed materials and layered textures — combining stone with timber, metals, and ceramics to add depth and character — alongside a growing demand for surfaces that balance visual realism with durability and consistency.
Overall, the direction is clear: kitchens and interiors are becoming more expressive and architectural, with materials playing a central role in defining the space rather than just finishing it.
What can our visitors expect to see and experience on your stand at Kitchen and Bath Show? Any new launches?
Visitors to the Niche Surfaces stand can expect a highly curated, design-led presentation focused on materiality, realism, and architectural application.
We will be launching our first twelve colours to the Australian market — a considered collection that celebrates colour while drawing directly from current trends in natural stone. This curated range brings those emerging tones and patterns into advanced mineral surfaces, combining visual authenticity with engineered consistency.
The stand will showcase full-body surfaces, allowing visitors to experience the depth, detail, and fabrication potential of the material firsthand. It’s designed to give architects, designers, and fabricators a clear understanding of how these surfaces perform not just visually, but in real-world use.
What are you looking forward to the most at Kitchen and Bath Show 2026?
We’re looking forward to connecting with architects, designers, and industry peers, and seeing how they respond to the material in person — particularly the realism, depth, and application potential of our surfaces.
